Passive Money Making Guide: Low-Effort Coin Methods

You can make millions in Hypixel SkyBlock without even playing the game. These are the methods Asxent uses.

Forge flipping

Forge flipping means buying the raw materials for less than you can sell the finished forged items for. It's super easy.

• Asxent has heard that things like Umber Plates make the most money, but prefers quality of life over optimizing, so just forges Refined Titanium.
• Do your crystals too. You can craft Perfect gemstones at the Forge using crystals you find in mineshafts, so if you find one, like a Peridot, craft it.

Slime minions

Use slime minions with Corrupt Soil, Enchanted Hoppers and Diamond Spreading. Each makes around 150k coins a day, so with enough of them you can make a few million a day.

Asxent only recommends this once you've used your minions to max out the annoying collections, like fishing. The minions guide covers those first.

The Greenhouse

This is the big money maker and progression pusher. The Greenhouse is the best way to farm without having to farm: it just takes some effort and patience.

Essentially every mutation makes money, but the effort-to-reward ratio depends on which mutation you grow. Here are two options, assuming you have all 3 greenhouses unlocked:

Neither needs water to maintain, which is why Asxent recommends the Greenhouse to anyone trying to build net worth. As someone chronically online but incredibly lazy, Asxent grows Witherbloom.

Getting more out of it

• Check the Greenhouse every growth stage. The more empty spaces you have, the more chances a mutation spawns there, compared with a space that's taken up. Growth stages differ from player to player, depending on your buffs and Greenhouse growth speed upgrades. You can check how long yours are with SkyHanni.
• Use a layout website. SkyMutations shows the optimal layouts for what you're growing.
• Unlock all Greenhouse plots. It can be expensive, but having more passive money makers makes the game feel much less of a grind.

NPC flips

Buy items like dandelions, shards and EXP potions from NPCs, then sell them on the Bazaar. There's nothing more to it.

Bazaar flips

Flipping Enchanted Ender Pearls on the Bazaar is something most people stay away from, and Asxent isn't sure why.

Heavy Pearls

Go to the Crimson Isle and get eaten by the Matriarch, a monster hidden in the lower sections of the volcano. Easy money.

Other methods

Pet flipping and the Composter also exist, but Asxent doesn't touch them.
