Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Asxent's Guides ("the site", "we") collects when you visit, and the choices you have. The site is run by Asxent, a Hypixel SkyBlock YouTube creator.

The short version

• You don't need an account, and the site has no sign-up or comment forms.
• The site uses no cookies and shows no ads, so there's no cookie banner.
• Visits are counted anonymously, without cookies, to see which guides help.
• We don't sell your personal information.

What we collect

When you visit

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel receives the technical information needed to deliver pages, such as your IP address, your browser and the page you asked for, and may keep it in short-lived logs for security and reliability. On the plan the site uses, Vercel keeps its request logs for one hour and its other traffic data for up to 12 hours.

Visit counts

The site uses Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see which guides are read. It doesn't use cookies or store anything on your device. For each page view it records the page, the site you came from, your approximate location (such as country and city), your device type, and your browser and operating system. Visitors are told apart with a code made from the page request that resets every day, so a visitor can't be followed from one day to the next or across websites. We use these counts to improve the guides, never for advertising.

Search

Searching the guides happens in your browser. A search run from the search page appears in the page address (for example /search?q=mining), so it's counted like any other page view and may appear in the host's logs.

Videos

Guide videos use YouTube's privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com), which only loads when you press play. After that, YouTube's own privacy policy applies, and YouTube may store its own data in your browser.

Emails

If you email us, we use your message and email address only to reply.

Links to other sites

Links to YouTube, Discord, sponsors and partners take you to sites with their own privacy policies.

Cookies and browser storage

The site sets no cookies. It saves one setting in your browser's local storage: your light or dark theme, if you choose one. It stays on your device, isn't sent to us, and stays until you clear it.

Sponsors and affiliate links

Sponsor links are plain links with tracking tags in the address (for example utm_source=asxent), so a sponsor can see that a visit came from this site. We also count how often the sponsor line and affiliate links are seen and clicked, as anonymous totals. We don't give sponsors or partners your personal information.

How long we keep information

Visit counts can be viewed for one month. The daily code used to tell visitors apart is discarded after 24 hours.

Children

The site is written for a general audience of SkyBlock players and isn't directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Your choices and rights

• US state privacy rights: depending on where you live, you may have the right to know about, access, correct or delete your personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising or the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We don't sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. To use these rights, contact us.
• Europe, the UK and Switzerland: you have rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR, including access, correction, deletion and objection, and you can complain to your local data protection authority. We rely on our legitimate interest in running, securing and improving the site, for hosting logs and anonymous visit counts.

Changes

When the site changes how it uses information, this page is updated and the date at the top changes.
